In this series we walk through the book, themes, and story of Nehemiah. It is inspiring, challenging and relevant. Nehemiah is an old book in the Old Testament about God using one man to inspire his people to a new chapter of their story. It is a story of physical rebuilding, social reform, and spiritual revival. Nehemiah lived 450 years before Jesus and was a bold, feisty, prayerful, dedicated man who took great risk in order to call God’s people to obedience. Nehemiah prays. He plans. He preserves against great odds and he calls others to do the same.

Neh. #13: God Deserves Fervent Zeal

The book of Nehemiah concludes with prayer, right after Nehemiah pulls out people’s hair and throws out some intense warnings.  How do we process the zeal and intensity of Nehemiah?  How are we to confront disobedience?  How can we learn from Nehemiah’s example?
